“Growing up in India played an important role in shaping my views on success. Education is absolutely imperative – a strong education leads to a high-paying job, which results in a good lifestyle. Education is the road to success.”
The story of A Grade Ahead begins at a kitchen table in India where a young student was quizzed in English and math problems as she watched her mother cook dinner. The importance of education was ingrained in her at an early age, as was the belief that the more you practice, the more you understand—and the more you understand, the more you can achieve.
Fast forward 20 years, and that young student was a mother herself living in the United States and looking to provide her own children with a strong educational foundation. Not finding a program to help, Meenal Singhal and her husband Parag created MathWizard (now called A Grade Ahead) in 2001 to help children across the country achieve their dreams.
